     Mary Ann Ryder was also known as Mariann Rider.2 She was baptized on 30 October 1842 in Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England.2,3 She was the daughter of James Ryder and Ann Gates.1 In the 1851 Census Mary Ann Ryder is shown as the daughter of James Ryder, the principal resident at Burgess Terrace, Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England, and Ann Gates and George Ryder lived in the same house.4 Mary Ann Ryder arrived with James Ryder and Ann Gates on 16 December 1854 in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia.5 Mary Ann Ryder resided in 1864 in Prospect, New South Wales, Australia.6 She married Henry Halmareck on 26 May 1864 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.6 Her married name was Halmareck. Mary Ann Ryder died in 1920 in Burwood, New South Wales, Australia.7
