     Sarah Pratt was born circa 1839 in Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Pratt and Sarah (?).1 Sarah Pratt appeared on the 1841 Census in the household of Joseph Pratt at House 064, Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England, and Sarah (?), James Pratt, Catherine Pratt, Adelaide Pratt, Harriet Pratt, Thomason Pratt and Joseph Pratt lived in the same house.1 In the 1851 Census Thomason Pratt, Sarah Pratt and Augusta Pratt is shown as the daughter of Joseph Pratt, the principal resident at High Street, Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England, and Sarah (?), Thomason Pratt, Joseph Pratt, Augusta Pratt, Jubez Pratt and Henry John Pratt lived in the same house.3
