Italian journal
I bought this lovely little Fabriano Journal with its delicious multicoloured pages in a moment of unsupervised retailing at Fumicino Airport in Rome. I have finally discovered a use for it.
Please feel free to correct my fourth term Italian.

Iron Cove Bridge
This is where I have been hanging out since I last made a post ... Iron Cove Bay Walk. It is a total of 7 kilometres all of the way around but being truthful, I don't do it all. This Saturday I walked 4.8 kilometres. Here under the Iron Cove Bridge, we are just the length of the bridge away from the reward of a cup of coffee and a sit down.

Eco Cottage
I discovered this place this time last year when we have a 4 day weekend to get all of our marking done ready for reports to parents. It is in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, in the countryside outside Mittagong. Despite the proximity of the railway line, it is quiet and a great place to work, if you must. This little cottage is new since my last vist and just right for 1 or 2. It is cosy, clean and warm. Between marking papers and adding up marks, I got in lots of shopping, reading, eating and visits to wineries.

Happy Mothers Day
The kids in the Childrens Choir handed out flowers to all of the women in the congregation this morning. It was very touching when they sang their special mothers song at the end of Mass. I will admit a little tear or two.

Padded Painted Pansy
Hand painted pansy, quilted and overlocked to make a pin. Next time I think that I should trim the edge after zigzagging the outline.

Bamboo
I recently bought some brush pens from the Jetpen site without much idea why I wanted them ... it's that old stationary addiction thing. Yesterday I bought a book on Chinese brush painting from a market stall in the local shopping centre.
This is my first attempt using the pens with an example from the book. It was fun.

Tulip Tummy
We walked from Birkenhead to the best coffee in Balmain this morning. This was part of the centre piece on our table.
I'm not going to tell you where it is 'cause we had no idea where we were!
