Divine Inspiration

Divine Inspiration
Gouache on canvas board..

Inspiration for art can come from all sorts of places and the readings at Year 12 Form Mass provided the ideas for this painting.

I knew what I wanted the painting to say and I knew how I wanted it to look but it was so hard to make it look the way it did in my head. This is the second version of the painting. The first one will end up where all of my other failures have gone, never to see the light of day again. I'm not sure what will happen to this one.

As a non Catholic I can't imagine what you were looking at, or hearing at the time. The painting is interesting and full of feeling.
