Snow clouds

Snow clouds

School ski camp is over for another year and we are all safely home again. The snow was much better than is was last year by a meter or more and, as a consequence, we had a lot less injuries. Really, the only bad ones were adult members of the group and not girls, which is a relief. It amounted to one broken wrist and one banged head.

I am now looking forward to trip number eleven, next year. I have made my usual vows to loose a lot of weight and to get a lot fitter before 2008 ski camp. In other years the resolutions have not even survived the trip home. I am hoping that I can do a little better this time because I have the added burden of advanced middle age to cope with on the ski slopes.

Wish me luck!

More pictures from the trip can be seen by clicking on this picture, which will take the viewer over to my Flickr photostream.

Ooooh, skiing! I used to ski a lot when I lived in Kansas. I did one ski trip to Iowa - it was a man-made hill with a tow rope. The rest of my skiing was in Colorado. I've only skied once since moving to California. Then I got the motorcycle and skiing took a backseat to riding the bike. Eventually I sold my ski equipment. By the time I sold it, middle age had set in with me and I couldn't fit into it any longer.

It's been a long time since I saw snow clouds. Now I shall head to flickr.
