Good Reads

So many web sites, so little time!

Lately I have been occupied with a web site called Good Reads. You list the books that you are reading, have read or would like to read in your own book shelves. Like all good social networks, you can make friends and then see what your friends are reading and what they thought of the books that you might be considering. It is also possible to read reviews and see if there are any other books by the same author to add to your reading list.

It is bringing me back to reading after a long time of thinking that I am too busy for this once beloved passtime. How could I have ever thought such a stupid thing!

Well hon I'd do a lot more reading if I didn't fall asleep when I do. Shoot I even do that trying to watch TV. Of course that is understandable.

I went thru a long dry spell, thinking I didn't have the time to read. I would start many books and then stop... life interrupting me. But I stumbled onto a book by Edna O'Brien called The Country Girls Trilogy and I cannot put it down. I MAKE time for it, and I'm almost done with it. It's been a wonderful story about girls growing up in Ireland. Highly recommended.
