Country retreat

Traditionally a haiga is a piece of Japanese art with a haiku incorporated into the painting. Typically, when things Asian are transplanted into western ways, we mess about with the idea a bit. I have used a photograph that I took during our very recent break in Berrima and added the haiku that was inspired by the wonderful little slab hut that we stayed in. Yesterday the very long awaited rain began and it was so cosy in the little hut, listening to the rain on the corrugated iron roof. This place also inspired a haibun that won second place for me in the last Yellow Moon haibun contest.
